Frequently Feeling Hungry? Let's Do Short-Sporty

Obesity can lead to various health complications such as diabetes and heart disease. To prevent any future danger, the key is to manage your diet and exercise. It turns out both of these interlock with each other, because the sport was able to repel hungry.

Scientists from Murdoch University in Australia and the U.S. to design an experiment with the aim of studying the appetite regulating hormone called peptide YY (PYY). In a study published the journal Obesity, the participants were divided into 3 groups.

The first group was a control group that did not exercise at all. The second group was asked to exercise for 1 hour in the morning. Finally, a third group was asked to exercise briefly but frequently throughout the day, each performed for 5 minutes.

The researchers saw that 32.2 percent of the third group of participants feel more satisfied doing 1-3 times the sport in the afternoon and about 3-5 times at night. The group also claimed 26.9 percent feel more satisfied, and less likely to overeat.

Sports are briefly but often appears to be more effective for maintaining weight loss. Unfortunately, the researchers did not find any changes in PYY levels. However, they believe that this form of exercise as potentially help people who want to lose weight or at least controlling.

"Although there is no change in the hormonal response, exercises performed intermittently but often more effective in reducing the perception of hunger," said Dr. Tim Fairchild from Murdoch's School of Psychology and Exercise Science as reported Counsel and Heal.

Previous research shows that exercise can increase the concentration of PYY hormone regulating appetite, which strengthen the control of appetite. But the research has focused on the first few hours after exercising, not during the day.
